Drive train warning light! Hi all, some advice please. We have a 2015 4x2 3.2 Wildtrax. 150 000ks. This passed weekend she left us stranded on the R21 JHB. A warning light appeared on the cluster . The book told us it is the drive train warning light. The vehicle shuddered and shook, no power. I pulled over and the engine died, it did start back up again but wouldn't rev over 2000rpm. It idled fine though. We got it towed home. Next day the car seems fine , it revs right up but I don't want to take a change driving it. Has anybody experienced this? Any advice very welcome. Thanks.

Hi. I just had the exact same problem (splint on intercooler pipe/hose) where my Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3.2L was going into "limp mode" and showing a powertrain warning ⚠️ light.
I found I little bit of dark oil 🛢 in the intercooler pipe. Is that normal?
#Problem details & facts:
-⚠️ Warning lights? =Powertrain (see below)
-Limp mode activated (Speed restricted to 40 KMPH max!)
-If I turned the Vehicle off then on again, the Warning ⚠️ sign would go away then I could drive normally until i need power again to go up hill, etc then the warning ⚠️ would appear and limp mode would kick in again
-There was a different noise everytime I turned off the engine (like air leaking noise, which was coming from the splint on the Turbo intercooler hose)
-The original intercooler pipe was manufactured in 2014 só it last 7 years. ⚠️ I do recommend you check the manufacturer date on the new one to see how long is sitting on the shelf. I found one at the dealer that was already 2 years old!
